She felt they were gathering places for people in the neighborhood, great places to camp out on a Sunday and read The Times, were cool places with a vibe to hear original music, played by locals who toted their guitars, or just cozy places to sit on the patio and watch the world go by.
These coffeeshops often became refuge in the city, an alternative to going out, and a place away from home.
Returning to Atlanta with a desire to start her own business, she didn’t see any coffee houses like the ones in New York, so she started her own.
Over the last twelve years it is her hope that she has created a coffee shop that the neighborhood will call their own, and visit when they need an escape from their Grind.
